Renee Davenport is a Master Herbalist (2010), Clinical Iridologist (2012), Detoxification Specialist (2015), IIPA Certified Comprehensive Iridologist (2018), Advanced Physical Iridologists (2019), and Medical Iridologist (2021). She has worked in the medical field for over 30 years. Her work includes personally assisting Dr. Jennie Kline, a demanding Research Scientist who proudly maintained the highest attention to detail at The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene in the department of Epidemiology of Developmental Brain Disorders and Columbia University in the department of Epidemiology. She held the titles of Research Assistant, Research Technician, Administrative Assistant and was an integral part of the small research team that focused on women’s health and congenital heart defects. It is with a great deal of fondness that she remembers the special time spent and precious lessons learned as she assisted Dr. Jennie Kline.
When a severe stubborn bout of Psoriasis found no progress with medical doctors Renee took her health into her own hands doing research and choosing remedies that were herbal and natural. As she crafted her own tinctures, capsules, soaps, salts and poultices to benefit her condition a love affair with herbal and natural remedies ensued.
In 2008 she decided to "legalize" the union by becoming a Master Herbalist. She received her MH certification in May 2010 from the Global College of Natural Medicine under the tutelage of Dr. Heather Johnstone and her staff of professional assistants. Brio Holistics, LLC was born in February 2011. In December 2010 she began Clinical Iridology studies with Judy & Harvey Vedder at the New York Center for Iridology in New York City. Certification was received in March of 2012. Iridology has been Renee's passion ever since her first iris reading at age 20. She is also a Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner, having been certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.
Renee is proud to be a member of the faculty of the Medical and Health Sciences Institute where the focus is on the integration of Iridology with conventional medical sciences.
